Welcome to the PaliBu Foundation
The PaliBu Foundation was established by the Malibu–Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce to serve as the Chamber's charitable and grantmaking arm, dedicated to strengthening the economic, civic, and community resilience of Malibu and Pacific Palisades.
In the wake of the January 2025 wildfires, our communities were reminded that recovery requires more than rebuilding structures—it requires rebuilding opportunity, supporting local businesses, investing in families, and creating lasting systems that make our communities stronger than before.
The PaliBu Foundation exists to meet that challenge.
Operating under the fiscal sponsorship of the California Community Foundation (CCF), the Foundation provides a trusted philanthropic platform through which individuals, foundations, corporations, and public agencies can invest in meaningful, community-driven recovery and resilience initiatives.
Our mission extends beyond disaster recovery. We seek to cultivate a vibrant regional economy, strengthen community institutions, support entrepreneurship, advance workforce development, and invest in projects that improve quality of life throughout Malibu and Pacific Palisades.
Through strategic grantmaking and partnerships, the Foundation supports initiatives including:
- Small business recovery and economic revitalization
- Community resilience and disaster preparedness
- Commercial node recovery
- Workforce and entrepreneurship development
- Environmental strength and sustainability
- Tourism and destination marketing
- Arts, policy, culture, and community enrichment
- Commercial innovation and public-private partnerships
The Foundation also serves as a vehicle for collaborative funding—bringing together philanthropy, government, nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations to leverage resources and maximize impact.
